Not ours to decide

About Holbrook and Partners
We had already made a considered choice for a client's case study. When they asked for something different, the choice was theirs to make, not ours to defend.
The choice we'd made
One case study on this site is for a private investment office that wanted a website saying enough and no more. We took that brief at its word: no screenshots, no logo, nothing to look at, matching a brief that treated restraint as the actual design. It was a considered decision, and we wrote down why at the time.
The choice that mattered more
When the client later asked for the fuller treatment other projects on this site get, real screenshots, properly framed, we said plainly what that would mean: it would sit against the reasoning we'd already written down. Then we built it. Our judgment earns its keep by being sound, not by being defended past the point a client has decided otherwise. The page now shows what they asked to show.
